About Me

I'm Cailey, an animal lover and life long cat owner. I've been looking after other people's cats since 2016. I've trained cats and kittens to do tricks, like high five, fist pump, and roll over, and have been able to offer advice to many cat owners to help enrich their pet's life. During the first COVID lockdown I took the opportunity to learn more, and completed a course through the University of Edinburgh called, The Truth About Cats and Dogs.  It focused on domestication history, and the behaviour of cats in comparison to dogs, and how they differ. I was surprised to learn so many interesting facts about cats, like that they prefer their water source to be in a different location than their food. Cats still have more wild instincts than dogs do because they haven't been domesticated as long. We, as cat owners, need to make sure our homes are safe and enriching to keep our furry friends comfortable,  healthy, and entertained.

Cailey at More Than a Feline looks after my two cats when I travel.  My cats love her and I never worry about them when she is caring for them. I know they look forward to her visits.

Cailey is caring, kind, reliable and responsive. She sometimes spoils them with a new toy or treat. She sends pictures and updates regularly as well as helpful advice about cat care.  When I return home the house is always in perfect order with the cat area is spick and span.

Cailey has looked after our previous cat Pheeny and our current cats Coco & Leo for a combined 7 years. Cailey is very caring and all of our cats have really seemed comfortable with her. In addition to taking very good care of feeding our cats and scooping their litter boxes, Cailey has always taken the time to pet them and play with them and she sends us pictures of them when we're away. Cailey is also very knowledgeable about cat needs and behaviour.
